MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – November 1, 2010 5:15 PM

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
The Tolland’s Bicentennial Committee is planning a Christmas event on Sunday, December 12th. The event is going to consist of a horse drawn carriage ride, music, stories and refreshments at the Tolland Town Hall.
The flags located down West Granville Road will be removed after November 11, Veterans Day. Wayne will be requested to purchase a better quality of flag and in the spring relocate the flags. The first flag will be located on the first pole east of the Town Hall and run down West Granville Road to the pole located past the carriage house also, to include one flag to the Library.
Selectboard acting as the Board of Health discussed changes in some Board of Health policies and approved the mandatory installation of a 2-compartment septic tank during upgrades, replacements or new construction.
Selectboard also approved the requirement for soil evaluations to be performed and included with a Title 5 septic inspection.
The Selectboard, however denied the approval requiring the Berkshire County Installers certification for Installers working in the Town of Tolland, but instead require the installer to possess liability insurance and a hydraulic license and provide the Town a copy of each when requesting an installer’s license.
